OCF's Projects are divided into three programs:
Program is dedicated to a small local book and magazines' market (this concept within the borders of Montenegro should be treated conditionally - our engagement and concrete actions will show - why), equally to the South-Slavic languages' region market and a book market in general. This program represents the main OCF's field of interest (together with Montenegrin Society of Independent Writers), as an organisation that over Ars magazine has already gained readers' confidence outside of Montenegro and among great number of important authors and translators. Through PARTNERSHIP, as our main strategy that insures us with real and stable ground, we will accomplish all individual projects from the Publishing program. They are related both to the partnership in domain of co-operation between the OCF and literature and artistic association in the region and in Europe, and with publishing houses with whom, in the framework of this program, accomplishes several editions as well as with state and non-governmental organisations in domain of culture. Through the partnership with printed and electronic media, OKF will popularize and present literature, cultural creation and its own editions. Moreover, strategic partnership in this program will be used in relation to appearance on the local book's market, its promotion and distribution, books popularization among "non-readers" and minority groups. By partnership OCF will realize technical and staff requirements of the publishing projects up to the final encounter with readers. By the projects set in program called publishing activity we want to make the high publishing literature standards of contemporary Montenegrin and South-East Europe literatures as well as the worldwide relevant authors achievable to a wider readers' audience; to develop according to current effects of badly achieved communication between authors and translators in the whole of South-Slavic language region, those that cherishes same aesthetic as well as ethic criteria, and to develop, also, multiethnic and multicultural approach in the environments they operate; To promote in our editions less presented but neighboring and close cultures, minority, immigrant groups, young authors and translators. Promotion and Education The program is widely drafted and it tends over COMMUNICATION-EDUCATION-PROFESSIONALISM to raise standards of the local perception and also through exchange with same and similar organizations in Montenegro and in the region to promote authentic potentials and works of contemporary authors. The program has to promote and educate existent and lacking knowledge and skills in the field of literature theory, translating, sociology of culture and arts, journalists in the culture departments of printed and electronic media. It will be accomplished through gained and new partnerships with publishing houses, Ministry of Culture, Institute for Foreign Languages, French Cultural Center, Philosophy University in Niksic, University of Arts in Cetinje, secondary schools, professional associations and universities in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje, daily newspapers, weekly magazines, state and independent TV and radio stations. It is assigned to professionals, students, educational institutions, and to the widest audience. OCF will be guided by the highest standards in presentation of its projects and topics that are going to be realized in the content of the education program. On the local market we will promote new and unachievable authors and editions, on the regional and European level it will promote high standards in domain of books communication. By selection of lecturers in domains of communicology, culturology, creative writing, literature translating, OCF is trying to achieve program reference that can be valued through the effects of developed skills and missing knowledge in Montenegro. Also, OCF tries by contribution criteria to literature theory, literature practice and creating favorable ambience in the region to enable free exchange of editions, information and knowledge. Expected outcomes for the education program and promotion: - presentation of successful communication and plans accomplishment - to professionalise specialised knowledge in domain of literature theory, literature translation activities, and communication skills and gained knowledge implementation in magazine ARS, publications, papers and electronic media. - OCF growing and becomes a referral organisation to provide educational programs for missing knowledge. Market Animation In accordance with OCF's long-lasting objectives like Reform of Regulations of Books Distribution and Protection of CopyRights and Reintegration of Multicultural Ambient in the Region, completely new and necessary experience is the program of the Market Animation. To encircle production circle and create conditions for its market communication and valorization to contemporary treatment of cultural product is more like matter of imagination. Partly it is small language market, borders that make it smaller, very slow reintegration in all aspects of democratic community, which perceive stable economy and standards of co-existence in the community. The Market Animation program is preliminary program for the real market creation through indirect and media communication with biggest number of potential consumers. Partnership with publishing houses and literature associations outside of Montenegro, from the neighbouring countries and those of Europe, which attained fame in the South-Slavic languages region will make us possible that acting externally through mutual actions and editions' presentation, and mutual promotions to animate interests in Montenegro in order she gains new reading audience. Partnership strategy with renowned houses, authors, culturologists, design houses, arts academy from Cetinje, local media, in our projects has to make indispensably visible marketing and PR segment. We will tend to raise cultural capital and to prepare it for the upcoming market conditions. Partnership with non-governmental organisations and especially with ones in domain of culture will be directed to lobby for legal regulative adopting in tax politics and enactment related to cultural sponsorship. It is our objective to enable easiest exchange of cultural goods focusing on the region of the South Slavic languages where books and magazines are still in customs treated as "goods of luxury". |
